About: Blooming teas or flowering teas are incredibly special. These tea balls may seem pretty unassuming upon first glance, but once they are dropped into hot water they bloom to produce a wonderful display of flowers of tea leaves. Each balls is hand made by sewing each individual flower and leaf together in a knot. When the ball reacts to the hot water the knot is loosened revealing the intricate arrangement within. An individual flowering tea ball takes around half an hour to make. Brewing: Always use freshly boiled water. The taste will vary depending on the amount of tea used and how long it is steeped. Longer = stronger. If left too long the tea may also turn bitter. We recommend brewing with 90C water in a nice clear glass teapot, mug or cup. For best result keep covered for several minutes and watch it slowly open! These can be infused several times and are very smooth and tasty. Each one is different tasting according to its composition!
